Sedation Dentistry

Sit Back, Relax, & Say Goodbye to Dental Nerves

As dental professionals, we understand better than most that many people don’t exactly like going to the dentist. In fact, some are downright terrified. We completely understand, and rather than make you feel bad about your fears, we’re ready to help, using sedation dentistry. Our compassionate team can use these techniques to help calm any anxious thoughts and protect you from physical discomfort at the same time, ensuring no matter what your smile needs, you’ll be able to fully relax during your appointments.

Oral Conscious Sedation

Patient taking sedative pill

If you could take a pill and make all of your dental anxiety go away, would you do it? With oral conscious sedation, that’s basically how it works! We’ll prescribe you a medication to take the day of your appointment that should help you feel completely relaxed from head to toe. You’ll remain awake for the entire visit and be able to respond to basic commands, but you probably won’t remember much afterward. This method is so potent, in fact, that we require a friend or family member to drive you to and from our office the day of your visit.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Patient with nitrous oxide nasal mask

If nitrous oxide sounds familiar, that’s because you’ve probably heard it referred to by another name: laughing gas! A patient simply inhales the colorless, odorless gas through a small nasal mask, and within a few minutes, a deep sense of warmth and relaxation will come over them. And, one of the best parts about nitrous oxide is that after the mask has been removed, its effects don’t last, meaning you can go straight back to your day after an appointment without any residual drowsiness.
