Why Did You Become a Dentist?
In Dr. Gutierrez’s own words:
“I became a dentist because of the flexibility and diversity within the field. Every patient and every case has its rewards and challenges which makes this field so fascinating. I also enjoy creating confident smiles while building lasting relationships with my patients.”
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
A graduate of UC Irvine, Dr. Gutierrez obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from UC San Francisco. While he was still in school, he received the American Dental Association’s certificate for International Service for his volunteer work in Jamaica and the Philippines. He has gone on to take advanced training in a variety of dental disciplines, leading to him becoming certified in both providing Invisalign and laser dentistry.
What Do You Like to Do Outside of the Dental Office?
In his spare time, Dr. Gutierrez enjoys playing basketball, camping, and hiking with his wife Marissa and their French Bulldog, Bruno. He’s also a big fan and always roots for his hometown teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Lakers.
