Why Did You Become a Dentist?

Dr. Rostker initially started her college career on track to get a medical degree, but after she was exposed to dentistry and shown how it could improve people’s lives, she was hooked. She saw that the field would allow her to constantly learn and utilize her artistic sensibilities at the same time, so it was easy for her to switch focus. She hasn’t looked back since.

Where Did You
Study Dentistry?

Dr. Rotsker completed her doctorate at the UCSF School of Dentistry in 1999 with honors and she has been working in private practice ever since. She has also received certifications through the American Perio Institute and World Clinical Laser Institute, both with honors, to perform periodontal surgical procedures (pocket elimination surgery) using soft tissue lasers as an alternative to conventional gum surgery. Additionally, her certification in oral conscious sedation allows her to treat apprehensive patients in a stress-free, comfortable environment.

What Kind of Advanced Training Do You Have?

Dr. Rostker is proud to have received extensive training from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute in cosmetic dentistry and neuromuscular disorders of the jaw. Today, she is able to provide a wide range of specialty aesthetic procedures, including veneers, Lumineers, porcelain inlays/onlays, porcelain crowns, and even full mouth rehabilitation. She can also offer patients long-term relief from headaches, chronic facial pain, and TMJ-related pain with non-surgical care that is very conservative in nature. Her list of continued education and certifications is long and prestigious.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Today, Dr. Rostker lives in the San Francisco area with her daughter. Her passions outside of dentistry include interior design and architecture, both of which she indulges frequently in her spare time.
